Creating Beauty Lady Stitcher- General SAL/September
General SAL
All Is Calm designed by James A. Meger
September 2017
It's been awhile since I posted, and I seem to have gotten lost as to where I left off. I've felt ill so often that I slowly lost my stitching bug. I was making myself feel extremely guilty and stressed about making my goals, and then posting them. It was silly of me really. No one was expecting that except me. So, new goals are needed. I'll stitch my extra "Hot Cocoa Ornaments" when I find that I have some extra time during the month, but I'm not going to push myself with it. I will be rotating my General SAL and the Mira SAL, after I stitch my 12 Days of Christmas SAL. So at least two projects a month. If I have a great month I suppose that I'll manage all of them. LOL!
So I'll make a new start.
My aim - All Is Calm
Where I started last month.
My progress in August.
and my progress so far this month.
Until next time. May your dreams stay big, sorrows small, rare visits from the frogs, and enough.

Update on SALS 2017
Hello out there, I hope this finds everyone doing well. Work is still busy so I've not be able to post as much as I want, Going to try giving you an update on all 4 projects I have going.
#1 Week 1 project is " Mari " Bewitching Pixies by Nora Corbett. I'll be back to stitching this one on Sunday or Monday... This is what I have so far

#2 Week 2 project is The Great Cheshire SAL by Tempting Tangles ( Deborah A. Dick)
Part 5 is already out but I am working on part 3 and 4 at the moment...
You can't see the ghost cat and ghost in the bottom corner due to the fact I am using DMC E940 Glow-in-the-Dark thread. I have a few more ghost to stitch then it's onto part 5..
Week 3 Deepest Love ( Mirabilia) by Nora Corbett This one has been a thorn in my side with the ribbons, I've had to frog 2 due to miscounting so I am catching up once again on this.. the count between the ribbons are correct now thankfully
And last Week 4 12 Days of Christmas by Michaela Learner, I've finished the 6th Day and started on the 7th.. I am behind with this due to the fact I wanted to stitch one a month and be done by Christmas. I still might be able to achieve that goal.
Until next time... Happy Stitching and may you have smokin' needles

7-5-2017 Frogging Episode :(
First off I hope that everyone is doing well and you have enjoyed following our blog so far. Lots and lots of progress is being made all around by everyone. +Khristine Doiron , +Creating Beauty Lady Stitcher , +Bekka Stitches to name a few have had smokin' needles. I love seeing their progress...
Unfortunately I have been unable to post as much as I want due to busy season at work. I am trying to stitch when I can and have made some progress on Deepest Love only to find some mistakes and have a major frogging session last night. I WAS up to the halfway point of the pattern when 2 of the outer ribbons were getting too close together. I found the mistakes a little too late and had to frog the entire outer ribbon and seaweed. I've restarted the ribbon and am counting at least 3 times as I stitch... She is just too beautiful to fudge up. I want her right or it will haunt me when I look at it.... So here's some progress. The mistakes and frogging I have done...

Middle ribbon too close to outer ribbon. The whole outer ribbon was removed as well
Frogging the seaweed first
Next up the restart...
Until next time. Happy Stitching and may you have smokin' needles..

6-17-17 Mira March SAL & General Year Long SAL updates 2017
Hello my Stitching Friends!
I hope this finds everyone doing well. It's time for a past due update. Things are still busy at work so I am trying to stitch while I can. So where I left off with Deepest Love , I have moved the scroll frame up and am continuing to work on the outer ribbon...Not much else done on this one yet. It's coming up in my rotation.

Up next is a finish! x happy stitchy dance/wiggle x Crimson Cardinal's Yuletide Song by Deborah A. Dick of Tempting Tangles Designs
The pattern suggest using Gloriana Silks but also has conversions for Dinky Dyes and DMC. I used DMC Threads and personalized it a little with a MH seed bead(62032) for the eye and added some sparkle to the border using Kreinik Blending Filament 007 in the border and added sparkle to the snow on the branches using Kreinik Blending Filament 032. This will be finished as a wall hanging later on.
Next up happy mail.. To be stitched at a much later date.
Until next time... Happy Stitching and may you have smokin' needles xxx

Mirabilia progress and a finish
Hello my fellow SAL friends!
I thought it was about time I shared some progress again. So here we go!
Deepest Love is coming along. I don't know why but each time it comes up in my rotation it seems like I always have a busy day and am lucky to add one length of thread to it. But while I may not be adding much to it I am enjoying every stitch!
For the General Year Long SAL I am hoping to finish the rest of the Brookes' Books Advent Animals. This proud looking fellow is Hamilton Horse.
Hope you all are getting lots of stitching in!

Mira March Update 5-22-2017
Hello everyone. I hope this finds you well. I've been stitching but work as usual has been very busy... First up as noted in the community I started another project and once again it's a Cardinal. Love love love cardinals... This is by Tempting Tangles called Cardinal's Yuletide Song..
The little red block of color to the right is the bird. I haven't stitch much since that a couple of days ago, I went back per my rotation to Deepest Love. I have finally finished her fin. I am working my way back up from there... So without further ado my update so far.
Happy Stitching and may you have smokin' needles....

Mira March update 5-2-2017
Hello all, I hope this finds everyone doing well. Another late post as I have worked quite a few days straight in a row. Busy season is upon us here near the East Coast...
I wanted to show an update on Deepest Love and show a new start. Still working on her fin but I feel I am making good progress if I can just stick with it and not to tired to stitch... Here is where I am so far...

I stopped on this briefly to start up another project that was gifted to me by +Bekka Stitches , my Sweet Stitching Sister knows how I love Cardinals, when I seen this I had happy tears as it made my otherwise rough day better. I am very thankful for all of you in the stitching community who follow, encourage and advise me when needed. So without further ado here is Crimson Cardinal progress
Happy Stitching and May you have Smokin' Needles....xxxx

An April Snowman - Iced Mocha Snowman Ornament by Joan Elliot
April is flying by fast, and my stitching has been slow. I finally finished my Iced Mocha Snowman Ornament by Joan Elliot.
I'm posting all of my pictures, and hoping my phone leaves them in order.
May your stitches stay even, and the frogs stay away.
